Activated Charcoal is a highly absorbant odourless powder capable of drawing or soaking up toxins, oil and dirt.
It is produced by super heating carbon rich material such as, coconut shells. This 'activation' process increases porocity (multiplies the number of holes within each molecule) creating a large surface area of porous material.
What does that mean?
It means that one full teaspoon of activated charcoal has the same surface area of a football field.
How does it work?
Activated charcoal binds to molecules, ions and atoms, removing them from the surface or environment that it is introduced to.
